That's totally amazing, there are so much details and textures.... wow! My only crit is that you have used neutral grey in some areas, it appears like a "hole" in the painting.

One crit that might matter: The lions face needs a diversity in colors so the shape of it doesn't look so flat, compared to the rest of the body. Also, to give the creature some solidness, smeary brushes instead of hairs might work.

Quite striking juxtaposition of textures, hair next to metal seems to work quite nicely. I know it's really a portrait and emphasis upon the background is not desireable, but perhaps a tinting of the grey area in the top left might be appropriate. Great lighting effects with the purple fire, really shows off your reflective rendering skill.

nice work but you should of add color inside of his mouth and what "sergK" said "i think that the belly shold be wider". i would of add a crow to his head, crown him king.

andy--jones - Actually, you're only seeing his upper body, andy. I'm leaning more toward not making the lower part humanoid, hence the tapered off stomach area.

artoonator - Actually it was done in CorelPhoto Paint. I see exactly what you are talking about regarding the face. I did this in layers of blocked colors. I think the fault is in the neck area, I didn't finish layering it completely. I'll correct that. As for smeary brushes, that works well for your awesome quick loose build up style, but I work in a tightened technique and to be honest Corel PhotoPaint tends to naturally blur, so I have to compensate with sharpness filter and detail. I do understand what you are suggesting though, and I thank you.

They look at you as if they are about to launch you through the restaurant window. They take their burgers seriously and by calling them hambugers instead of steakburger, you insult them.

Well done overall, its' left arm seems to covered over by the bright light. If that is true it looks awkward, perhaps a hint of his arm just behind the light.
